Salbit - westridge

The Salbitschijen rises mightily in the Göscheneralptal. The west ridge is one of the greatest granite tours in the Alps. It leads to the summit in over 25 pitches over firm and steep granite from Uri. In order to manage the ascent in one day, fast and safe climbing is necessary.
1000m climbing distances, difficulty 6b, A1 (5c + obl.)

1. Day
Arrival in the Göscheneralptal and ascent to the Salbithütte (2h 30), short «update» belaying and fast climbing. Chilling and relaxing before attempt :-)

2 . Day
Climb the Salbit West ridge, descend and travel home. We recommend to stay an extra overnight in the Salbit hut.

Conditions
Rapid ascent in grade 6a (approx. 10 to 12 hours), experience in multi-pitch routes
